EEG-Based Seizure Onset Detection

I presented my research on EEG-based seizure detection at the European Symposium on Biomedical Engineering (ESBME 2025) in Patras, Greece, held together with the 35 Years Anniversary Reunion of the Erasmus Patras BME Program.
The talk presented a machine learning approach for seizure detection from EEG signals. Various preprocessing and feature extraction methods were applied, and a Random Forest classifier achieved 99% accuracy, showing the value of combining classical and modern machine learning techniques for EEG analysis. It was a great opportunity to share this work with researchers and professionals from across Europe and to learn from the wider biomedical engineering community.
